Tow TruckLomira, WI- A truck driver is dead following a late-night collision with a tanker truck that was attempting to make a U-turn.

Fox 6 Now reports that the accident occurred on I-41 around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday morning. Police say that the driver of tanker truck, which was hauling water, was traveling in the southbound lanes of the highway when he began to make a U-turn using the center median.

While the tanker was in the middle of his turn, another tractor-trailer came along. The driver attempted to stop but he couldn’t avoid colliding with the tanker. He suffered fatal injuries.

The driver of the tanker truck suffered only minor injuries.

Police have not released the names of the accident victims and said they are still investigating the cause of the accident, according to NBC.
