The accident occurred in early Tuesday morning (June 30) on Route 22 in Westmoreland County, according to the Pittsburgh-Post Gazette. Police said that a tractor-trailer traveling westbound slammed into a car truck near a construction zone.

The truck then struck a female worker who set up the construction zone, knocking her to the ground and causing her to suffer minor injuries. After striking the worker, the truck continued onto a median and then T-boned a pickup truck, according to CBS Pittsburg.

The driver of the pickup truck suffered critical injuries while the driver of the car that was struck first was also injured, according to CBS.

The truck driver was not injured and stayed on the scene of the accident.

The cause of this accident is still under investigation.
