The Chicago Tribune reports that Dior Turner of South Bend, Indiana was traveling along Route 20 in Pingree Grove when he lost control and rolled his big rig. Turner’s 12-year-old daughter Dahabrielle Turner was traveling with him and ejected from the cab. She was pronounced dead on the scene.
Mr. Turner suffered minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Several utility poles and a guardrail were damaged on the rollover accident. No other vehicles are believe to be involved, according to the Chicago Tribune.
Police are still investigating the accident so it is too soon to determine the cause. This was a tragic accident which is no doubt causing a great deal of pain to the family involved.
